AJ Reid, skipper of the YD37 Anarchy, has just contacted Royal Akarana Yacht Club race control to report that they are “having an awesome race.”
“We did have a great start but then fell into that hole, but we have recovered nicely and are just focusing on our race, our boat and ensuring that we are pushing as hard as we can,” said Reid via satellite phone.
Anarchy is currently ahead of Hupane, Blink and Crusader35 which are deemed to be their closest competitors, however within just 23 nautical miles of each other, it’s still anyones game.
“There is still a long way to go, but at this stage, we are very happy,” continued Reid.
