It would seem that the ANZ Sail Fiji Cruising Fleet has some random weather on their hands!

Water spouts have been spotted off Tiri proving once again that Auckland weather in completely bizarre.

Georgina Griffiths from MetService contacted RAYC Race Director Sally Garrett to inform her of the situation.

“There are water spouts near Tiri, and north of Kawau but the boats are fine and shouldn’t encounter them,” said Griffiths.

We haven’t heard if our two boats, Moody Blue or Sharpe Focus have seen the water spouts, but no doubt they will see some awesome sights on their way to Denarau.
